ISACA – a global independent professional practice within the field of information security, assurance, risk management, and governance – published a Third Party Assessment Framework. A research performed by Jouke Albeda, a professional of Contrisity.
In this article, a study is performed on the reason why Third-Party Assurance is meaningful for organizations. Based on the reasons for implementing Third-Party Assurance and the risks which accompany outsourcing IT and supplier management, a framework is defined to support Third-Party Assurance management. The framework also pays attention to legal risks, now new privacy and technical regulations are developed and implemented by governments more frequently and specifically.
